Why Outsourcing?

Outsourcing is a term that defines a process of assigning some auxiliary task of your business to third-party professionals (subcontractors). In other words, you pay some one else to do a part of your job. Why would you do that? Primarily, because there certainly are some parts in your business flow that require certain special training or expertise you might not have. As a business person, you can't afford spending extra time to study entirely new subjects and making mistakes - that's why the most reasonable solution will be to delegate the task you can't carry out yourself to somebody more competent.

Outsourcing some of your business activities has obvious advantages over keeping the entire job "in-house". First of all, hiring a professional always means greater warranty of good service quality. Second, by assigning tasks to external people or companies you set free your own resources that previously had been engaged in the tasks you decided to outsource - so you may use them for some other activities. Also, outsourcing often comes cheaper then handling all tasks on your own. Finally, sometimes outsourcing is inevitable - in case your business has some complicated tasks that drastically differ from the ones you commonly deal with (like clothing vendor needing website).

Outsourcing often comes along with offshoring, which means transferring your task to subcontractors located in other countries, commonly overseas. The reason of it is significant difference between business resources cost in your country and the other one. For example, there are countries considered nowadays centers of IT-related outsourcing activities: India, Pakistan, Ukraine, Russia and others. It makes a big difference paying $100 per hour or paying $5 per hour, doesn't it?

Speaking about information technology outsourcing, it will be also useful to mention high levels of professional education and experience of IT-specialists in aforementioned countries. For example, every software development contractor from Ukraine (where ExpressITsoft is based) has at least a bachelor degree in computer science or related field.
